Books I Wish I Never Found

Friday, May 26, 2006

Some books you’d rather not KNOW that they’re out there.

And let’s HOPE no layperson is actually using these as “self help” books!

I just happened to be looking through Overstock.com for a makeup case, BUT i found these lovely gems of books instead!

Cosmetic Surgery For Dummies

I hope NO ONE is using this at home, thinking, “I’m a dummy! I want cosmetic surgery! I can do this *myself!*”

I just have a problem with the whole dummy series of books to begin with. Do you *really* want to admit openly to being a dummy? I mean, especially about things that are so complex as COSMETIC SURGERY? I don’t ever want to think that ANY dummy is working on any person to change their appearance. Or to transplant organs for that matter! Or to even change the oil in my car! Uh oh, this is turning into a rant…

The Internet Guide to Cosmetic Surgery for Women

And here we have the way to find out how to do your OWN cosmetic surgery through online instructions! Just kidding, but doesn’t it sound like that be the case?

Cosmetic Surgery of the Asian Face

And this one just seems like it could be renamed, “How to make asians look more white.” Hahaha I actually have no idea about the content of this book, but do we really need our own book for our faces? Are we that complicated? And why not “Cosmetic surgery for the Black Person’s Face” or Cosmetic surgery for the Columbian Face.” This reminds me of my whole rant on Blepharoplasty Mania.

Anyway, I just thought I’d share my treasures that I found.

It’s Friday. This is Kathy’s brain signing out.

Happy Memorial Day weekend. Have fun memorializing and such.
