Chances are Slim...

Fanatical member of the Official Kathy Khoo Fan Club makes 3,000 mile trek out to New York in hopes of making contact.
Sources say that the fan reportedly, “showed up at Kathy’s front door with full intention of harassing said celebrity for autographs and free ‘Kathy’ paraphernalia.”
Just kidding. I’m not really a celebrity.
No, seriously, I don’t even HAVE an official fan club (hard to believe, i know so though those of you who read this, please feel free to start one).
But I do have a fan named Slim. So Slim came out to visit last weekend (not the one that most recently passed but the one before that!). We got to hang out and eat. And eat some more. And, I’m not sure how it’s possible, but we ate even MORE. Phew! I think almost every picture we have is in an eating establishment of some sort…
Let me see if I can name the fine establishments that we graced with our presence:
- Joe’s Shanghai
- Kiiroi Hana
- Yakiniku
- Church potluck with AWESOME haystacks by Marlene
- Gonzo (great Italian place with awesome shortribs!)
- Rice Bowl
- Beard Papa Creampuffery (can I call it that?)
- Wolfgang’s Steakhouse (the Mayor was there that night! Not that I know what he looks like…)
- Monsoon Vietnamese Restaurant
- Café Lalo
- Bruno Bakery
- Rai Rai Ken Ramenya
- Dumpling Man (which was gyoza but with some strange twist – they put tomato sauce on it and called it the ‘Marco Polo’)
- Kang Suh Korean BBQ place (mmm…that was GOOOOOOOD!)
Ok, I think I got them all. Wow. That’s a lot of places…I seriously can’t stop eating since he left because now I’m just used to eating tons of good food all the time. This is bad.
BUT we didn’t eat. We actually managed to do normal stuff like walk. Sometimes. Hehehe. We wandered through Central Park, almost went apple picking with a kindergarten class that Slim’s little friend Ashley attends (but the buses filled up and we couldn’t go. Boooo), also got to see Conan as mentioned before, and we got to see a lot of his friends that live out here like Dave and Eunice, Joe, Andy, Desiree & Ashley, a more.
All in all, it was a pretty chill time – something I really needed. I have been pretty stressed about reading and keeping up in class. I haven’t been sleeping that much either so I developed this imperceptible twitch in my right eye. After the weekend, my twitching stopped. I now think that it’s purely stress related.
Anyway, the gist is that we had a good time hangin’ out.
Care to see some pics to prove it? HA! You don’t get a choice. Here they are!
Actually, chances don’t look slim at all. They look pretty darn GOOD for ya’ll. lol. ;)
That pile of noodles is amazing. When can I come visit?
