Getting better as a tour guide

Wednesday, August 17, 2005

Yumiko came and took a whirlwind tour of the city on 3 days!

Thanks to all those who came before her, (Rita, Slim, Gordon, Kenny & Yasuyo, Merv, Kimi,...did i miss anyone?) Yumiko got a nicely compacted 3-day tour that pretty much hit every major thing that she wanted to see. Unfortunately, she came on the two hottest days of the year. Luckily the next day and the day she left cooled off a lot. We were seriously melting!

Yumiko is the daughter of my director during my year of student mission work in Yokohama, Japan. She’s been in the States for 9 years and she’s leaving tonight to move back to Japan! She made it out right before she had to leave. I’m so glad i got a chance to see her! It was really great catching up!

We used to be called “Futago"--twins. We don’t look all that much alike, but there’s something that makes us look somewhat similar. Do you agree? You can kind of see it in the image i chose for this months banner (the pic with the Lion/library).

You can take a look at our adentures by clicking on the image below or by going to the “Photo Album” link in the main nav.

I would write more, but i think my right wrist is falling victim to carpal tunnel syndrome. So just enjoy the pics for now!

  1. i thought about the futago twins comment you made and i think i’ve narrowed it down to your smile, if not twins, at least sisters.
