It’s been awhile since I’ve been into basketball, but with the Lakers in the finals, how could I ignore my team any longer?
Last night LA came back from 2 sucky games in Boston with bad calls all over the place and some difficulty adjusting to Boston’s defense. But last night, they took it all the way! W00t! I haven’t felt the basketball bug in forever, and it’s kind of nice to be back in it.
I was even more amazed when i realized that there are enough white guys on the team to have an all white team on the floor. Shocking! hahaha
I’ve also noted Paul Pierce’s vague resemblance to an Angler Fish.
There there’s Kobe, who has rat-like features, Fisher who looks like a bulldog,...I’m trying to put animals to other players. Rondo reminds me of some kind of weird elf. I suppose this isn’t very kind of me, but it’s hard not to make some connections…
All comparisons aside, all i can say is “GO LAKERS!”
If this had been the regular season, I would be upset just reading your headline. Of course, I’m still a Laker fan, but during the season, everything is sooooo delayed. But since it’s the Finals, it’s broadcast live! I just have to be careful not to stumble upon the score during work…
Wasn’t game 2 exhausting to watch? Talk about an emtional rollercoaster. If the Lakers are going to give me that much hope at the end of the game, the least they could do is win, right?
I KNOW! How rude not to win, right? I was at this restaurant with about a bajillion TVs and one solitary Celtics fan. While the Celtics were winning, he was all noisy and obnoxious. And when the tide started to turn, he got all quiet and (hopefully) nervous.
But when the Lakers lost, everyone just sorta slunk away while Mr. Celtics got all loud and obnoxious again.
Yeah, emotional roller coaster just about sums it up.
I never quite thought of Kobe as a rat-man, but I can see the resemblance...and what’s the BIG guy’s name? The one who’s really heavy on top and has dreads pulled back in a ponytail? He reminds me of a gorilla. That’s not nice either, is it? hahah!
Meanwhile, Nathan can’t decide who he’d rather win--Celtics and Lakers are both evil to him alike.
Evil? How could either team be evil?
Evil is Michael Jordan. Not that he was a bad guy, but how could someone be so good and not have sold his soul to the devil. So, I guess, not evil, just demonic.
Or what about the Pistons during that era. They were just plain dirty!
I can’t think of anything more recent since I’ve been out the the NBA loop for so long… But evil or not, this is such a classic match-up!
