I hope everyone is taking advantag of their day off and doing something fun!
Today, Slim and I headed out to the beach for some fun in the sun! Having beaches in California is seriously one of the great advantages of living here. It makes up for the ridiculous 113 degree weather…
This was taken in my car at around 6 pm on an average day. Nuts.
The beach was beautiful! It was a perfect day! Just the right amount of breeze, the sun was beating down but not too horrible, and the ocean was there, freezing and inviting to those who couldn’t take the heat on the sand any longer.
The best part, of course, is the people watching. There was one guy who had this foot-long telephoto lens on his camera, taking pictures of who knows what out in the water. He did this for about 2 hours straight. What on earth was out there? Then there were the rambunctious kids next to us, Joshua and Michael, who kept horsing around and getting scolded by their mom. Then there was the high school senior who was just “too cool for school” and didn’t do anything but lounge on the beach chair in his aviator glasses and cap, making rude comments about heavy beach-goers.
All in all, it was great! We even got to play catch! That’s something i haven’t done in forever!
So tonight, we’re not really sure where we’re going for fireworks, but hopefully we can catch something! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
