HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Saturday, November 18, 2006

Today i officially must accept the age bracket “late 20s.”

Today was my day. And no, i didn’t take off of work. I didn’t even bring a cake to work with me to share with my cow-orkers. In fact, i stayed right until 5 pm - a feat on a Friday afternoon.

To celebrate, my roommates (Kimi, Shelia, and Rita) came out to have dinner with me at Madre’s, JLo’s restaurant in Pasadena. Susan joined us a little later, and we feasted upon Ropa Vieja, tostones, and other good Cuban foods. Mmmmmmmm. I have good friends. And Slim is coming in tomorrow morning! Yay! This is shaping up to be a good weekend. And i get to have awesome yakiniku with my family tomorrow night.

So now that i’m officially in my late 20s, does my body start deteriorating now? Does my hair turn white? Do i lose my teeth and require dentures? Just kidding. I know it’s not *that* bad (or so i hear). I’m going to continue to act my mental age of 12.

So I guess, happy birthday to me!  LOL

(you have no idea how lame i felt writing that.)

  3. Hey, otanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu!!  (Uh, a week late) Boku mo ni-juu-kyuu-sai.  But there’s nothing like the first time some kid looks at you and says “oji-san” or “oba-chan” as if you naturally *were* such a thing.
