Yesterday i got my BED!
My place is almost completely devoid of furniture and other useful things, but as of yesterday, i no longer have to sleep on a cold air mattress! That thing was such a hassle anyway. I had to use the *broken* air pump in the garage because it was the camping kind that only had a car plug. And then i had to lug it upstairs to my apartment and clean off all the car oil and grease from being on the floor of the parking garage. Ew.
Anyway, thanks to Jason D. and his friend Raul, i now have a LUXURY PILLOW-TOP QUEEN MATTRESS! I’m so excited I could sleep all day! Hahahaha!
It’s HUGE! I’ve never had such a big bed before. I can roll over and over and over and over...well you get the idea. It’s awesome. I have to resist the urge to use it as a trampoline. Boingy boingy boingy!
Raul was great. He and his friend Steve came and delivered the thing right to my door and dragged everything in. Raul’s furniture place is called Home Comforts Gallery. It’s got all this nice modern stuff perfect for yuppies! Anyway, he really hooked me up. Lots of thanks to him.
The funny part is that i don’t have sheets for it. I mistakenly thought that “full” and “queen” were the same size. They always sell them together! Suffice it to say, my sheets did NOT fit. They were struggling for dear life but just couldn’t hack it.
I have sheets now! W00t!
So now that I can sleep on a *normal bed* (after long periods of sleeping on the floor on either a futon or air matress), I could care less if I never get “real” furniture for the rest of the apartment. I HAVE A BED!
