Now I'm fit to be a REAL New Yorker!

Tuesday, December 28, 2004

There are few things that come standard issue when you move to New York,...things that every New Yorker *must* have.

One of these things is your black puffy North Face winter jacket. The other is your Uggs if you’re a girl. Other standard issue includes any type of all black gear (heavens, we can’t wear COLORS in the city!). BUT the most flashy of the gear is the iPod. I swear, even the homeless guys have ‘em.

“Hey man, can you spare a dime? I really need to get that new Usher song from iTunes. Thanks man.”

BUT NOW I TOO AM A TRUE NEW YORKER!! For Christmas and birthday, my bro and Slim teamed up and got me the 40gig iPod. But they didn’t just get it. They got it and then *gave* it to me. Sweeeeeeet (like ninjas). Now I can carry all kinds songs to bop to the urban beat of the city! AND i can carry away all kinds of applications from the NYU computer lab like Photoshop and Adobe CS and Macromedia Dire.....just kidding. I would never do such an illegal thing with my iPod! Anyway, that’s my big Merry Birthday/Happy Christmas present.

I is happy. :D

  5. hmm, well i’m still holding out, but i’m the ipod rebel. i mean why should i have an ipod really. i listen to music in the car, on a laptop, on at my computer. don’t really need it. but i guess since yor’re minus the car out there than the ipod is acceptable.

    you are forgiven. carry on.

  6. i know, i know, i wouldn’t find it useful either, except that if you’re in a commuter society and you have hours of commuting (with no reception on my cellphone! doh!) So in that case it’s a nice perk. Otherwise, it’s probably not worth it.

That being said, i will still gloat about my gift. MWAHAHAHA!

    ;)
