JNKS - an easy way to write Jannine, Nathan, Kat, & Suz.
It’s been a long time since we’ve all been in the same place. There was a time when we did EVERYTHING together (well almost everything-- Suz and I never followed Jannine and Nathan on dates). After both Susan and I left New York, we all went through withdrawals from each other. No one else quite got our uber sarcastic sense of humor or loved eating and shopping and critiqueing quite as much as all of us did together.
And now they’re visiting Cali! YAY! AND it was Nathan’s birthday last Sat. (Aug. 19) and Susan’s birthday is tomorrow (Aug. 24)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!
On Sunday, we hung out all day. We shopped, walked and ate. Perfect. I even found a crazy dress at BCBG that looked like it was made of sheets. It was like a piece out of the show Project Runway, where they ask the contestants to make something out of things found in a bedroom. I tried it on just for laughs and found that it’s actually really cute!
Nathan even found himself a man-purse: a MURSE! He looks like a natural sporting that bag!
We ate at a lovely restaurant with great salad and meatloaf! Mmmmm...never thought I’d like that, but it was GOOD! We ate family style--that is, reaching across the table to eat food off of each other’s plates. Just like it used to be! It was great! I’m just so happy that they’re both out here and that we can have a JNKS reunion. :D
