Only ONE degree of separation, baby!

Thursday, April 21, 2005

I am no longer just a nobody at the end of a “six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon chain.”

Putting the words “bacon” and “chain” next to each other conjures up images of viking-like people creating maces out of large hocks of ham and swinging them around their heads in a deadly fashion.

But I digress. Ah, yes, six degrees of separation. I am now ONE degree of separation from Kevin! (I can call him by his first name, now that we’ve been in the confines of the same four walls--we’re tight like that.) It just so happened that after everyone helped me move in this past Tuesday, we went to this restaurant called Good Enough To Eat. We had been sitting there for about 15 minutes when JenRo pointed out, “Hey guys, there’s Kevin Bacon!”

Yup. There he was. All glistening in Bacony glory. He’s look alright these days! He was with a bunch of teenage kids. Does he have kids? Anyway, yeah, Kevin and 3 kids. So mundane yet so exciting...for about 5 seconds. And then my salmon salad became really distracting! Mmmmmm...salmon.

Anyway, I thought i’d inform you that the world officially just got smaller.

One degree of separation
Me and Kevin just hangin’ out...as usual. smile

  3. Sorry to disappoint you, but that is 100% REAL! just kidding. I tried to make it more fake on purpose because everyone took Nathan’s Lord of the Dance picture so seriously! You have no idea how many people have come up to me and asked, “Why would Nathan do that?!?”

    sigh.

  4. oh, but the Lord of the Dance thing was real.  They photographed my body, then photochopped Michael Flatley’s head onto it.  So you were really just restoring the photo to its original state. :-D
