If you’ve never heard about M.I.A., learn now!
She’s this Sri Lankan rapper, the daughter of an activist for Tamil independence in the Tamil Rebellion. Her music is great. Check out M.I.A.’s site. Seeing her live was a great experience. It’s a combination of so many different influences. Definitely worth checking out.
We waited in line for an hour for the free Central Park Summer Stage concert with a line that started at 72nd street and stretched all the way down to 59th street. And we STILL made it in! AND we were close to the stage! Yeah, the crowd was super into her! We were told that it was the largest Summer Stage crowd EVER. Woot!

Is it just me, or does she have disproportionatly small legs? Not quite… natural.
