Ow...my brain hurts

I just finished a big paper on a proposed game for teaching slang to ESL learners.
As fun as it was to concept the whole idea of teaching American pop slang to people all over the world, it’s not quite as fun when you have to cough up a reason for everything you’re doing.
I think i sat in front of my computer for about 3 days straight. They were not particularly productive days, but i finally got the paper done. It didn’t help that i had insomnia one night and couldn’t sleep until 6 in the morning and woke up at 9:30 am. Today, I was literally writing until i had to leave for class. And then in class, i found some typos and reprinted it. Talk about down to the wire. I actually haven’t read the whole thing through yet. Let’s hope it’s ok.
So this is my post of relief. My major papers/project for this class (Cognitive Science in Educational Technology 2) are mostly done. I can finally breathe again!
phew.
glad you could get your paper done Kat. I know the whole “not wanting to do work” feeling....it’s good you “got over the hump,” so to speak. haha

I remember that feeling very well - coupled with the brain-fuzz of so many sleep-deprived nights. LOL!
Let me ask, Is it not about 6 times harder to sit in front of your computer and work now that you have that tempting little Warcraft icon staring at you???
*sigh*

The irony is that she’s only been here in the US for about THREE!!! Still, I think she’s getting some SSL because she came home the other day with a new Spanish phrase. . . “queso hamburgesa”. Hmm. . . just what every American needs to know.
