My dad has been ill recently and in a lot of pain.
He has been on blood-thinning medication, and it’s doing a number on his blood vessels. The result is a lot of strange “bruises” (which look more like massive blood blisters than bruises to me) and extreme pain.
As you can imagine, as much as I am none to thrilled with these, my dad is even less so. I’m very worried about him. I’m worried about a lot of things, including how my mom is holding up. Nothing is as heartbreaking as seeing one (or both) of your parents in bad condition. I’ve always known that I love my dad, but it’s events like these that make you realize just how much you really do love someone.
It’s ironic that I’m so torn up about this because in the grand scheme of things, he has been much more sick in the past. But i never got it. I never understood what was in the balance. He has had strokes, pneumonia, and surgeries. At first i was shielded from it because i was so young, but after awhile, i think i chose to be willfully ignorant. It was easier if i didn’t realize just how sick he was. And now, for some reason, i have fully come to grip with the fact that my dad is in pain, is hurting and needs healing from Jesus, since no one else seems to know what’s going on with these strange bruises.
So I’m writing this post to implore, beg and beseach you to pray on behalf of my dad and ask Jesus for healing. I believe there is a lot of power when large numbers of people come together to pray for something, so please pray for my dad! Thank you.
i called my parents right away and they prayed with me for him, and i know they will continue to keep him in in their prayers, as i’m sure many of your friends are doing right now. they’re also praying for you and your mom as you both take care of him. he sure is lucky to have a daughter like you!

Posted by on 01/12 at 08:19 PMOur dad and mom wants to thank everyone for their prayers. He’s doing better, but still is in some pain. We’ve got a orthopedic bed now so he can play around with the controls. Other than his pain, he’s enjoying watching all the Asian TV programs from China, Korea, and Singapore! Please continue your prayers for him. Thanks everyone!
