I'm not so sure about this "winter" thing...

Last night it snowed. That’s right. SNOWED. And it’s about 1˚F (that’s *with* windchill factor) outside.
I admit, people warned me over and over again. “Oh, you’re moving to the east coast? Good luck with winter!” “I had to put on 5 layers and that was just to get in the car to drive to work!” I’m beginning to see what they mean. 1˚ is no laughing matter. Neither are icey sidewalks. I’m just waiting to eat it one day. It’ll probably happen in a large crowd of people, somewhere particularly conspicuous, probably where someone famous is being filmed and i happen to be in the background, thus ruining the shot and calling attention to my clumsiness. I have an overactive imagination.
In any case, it is cold cold COLD! I look like a ninja right now! I have my down jacket which is as good as wearing your comforter outside (but it’s a little more fitted, and a little more stylish ;), the hood on, a hat on, gloves, and a scarf wrapped around my face, concealing my mouth and nose. Totally ninja. But hey, at least i’m warm. I’m still able to “enjoy” the weather though: the novelty, the pretty white landscape, etc. but that won’t last. The only thing that preserves my “enjoy-o-factor” is the fact that i’m leavinng in about 2.5 hours to go home to glorious warm Cali! Weeeeee! So the cold really doesn’t seem like reality quite yet. I’m sure i’ll have months and months to come to full grips with it though…
I’ll say it again: IT’S BLOODY COLD OUT HERE!

I had to put on my jeans jacket this morning, and last week I didn’t have to wear a jacket at all. Kat its hell over here, its just so hot.

On a day like today (20 degrees - practically balmy!), I can walk around looking like a super native appearing to wear only jeans and a sweatshirt.
Little do they know that I am wearing long underwear on top and bottom!
